DESCRIPTION:The 2023 Schuylkill River Restoration Fund Bus Tour and Press Event will visit two projects supported by the SRRF in Berks County. \nDate and time:\nFriday\, September 8 · 9:30am – 2:30pm EDT \nLocation:\nEarl Township Park \n800 Mountain Road Boyertown\, PA 19512 \nAbout this event \nJoin us for a great day connecting with partners and observing the impact of the Schuylkill River Restoration Fund (SRRF) firsthand! This in-person event will take place on Friday\, Sept. 8 starting at 9:30 a.m. \nGet ready to hop on the charter bus and explore one dairy operation and a streambank stabilization project supported by the collaboration and efforts of a local farmer\, residents\, the Pine Creek Watershed Association and the Schuylkill Action Network Agricultural Workgroup partners. \nThe installation of these projects was made possible in part through funding provided by the Schuylkill River Restoration Fund. Hear directly from the farmers and our partners on the impact of these projects toward improving the Schuylkill. \nOur day starts and ends at Earl Township Park. After touring both sites\, we’ll return to the park to enjoy lunch and hear from SRRF funders and learn about projects funded in the 2023 grant round. \nThe event is rain or shine. Please dress for the weather\, including sun protection. Please wear boots or closed-toe shoes as we will be walking on an active working farm operation.
