About the Live Webinar
Hiring the right person takes more than luck—it takes a plan. This practical session transforms Human Resources compliance into actionable steps by guiding participants through the full hiring and onboarding process. Learn to navigate the challenges of rural and seasonal labor markets, craft effective job postings, and advertise strategically. Gain insights into interviewing and evaluating candidates, extending compliant and consistent offers, and accessing funding opportunities such as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) and on-the-job training programs. The session also reviews essential new hire paperwork and onboarding practices that foster engagement and retention from day one. An optional second hour offers extended discussion and Q&A for those seeking to explore the material in greater depth.
This webinar is open to everyone at no cost, thanks to an AgWorks grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. To help track grant reach and eligibility, participants will be asked questions about their farm or agribusiness during registration. Responses will remain confidential and will not be shared outside the project team.
