About The Live Webinar
Before you post your next job opening, make sure your business is truly ready to hire. This session will guide you step-by-step through the essential human resources building blocks for compliant and successful hiring. Learn how to craft accurate job descriptions that support proper worker classification and align with competitive pay structures. Explore the fundamentals of compensation, benefits, and workers’ compensation coverage, and understand what every Pennsylvania employer must know about unemployment insurance, payroll, and timekeeping. You’ll also learn which workplace posters are required and how to stay compliant without unnecessary complexity. Whether you are preparing for your first hire or refining existing systems, this session will provide practical tools to help you confidently move from “ready” to “hire.” An optional second hour offers Q&A and a deeper discussion of the presented topics.
This webinar is open to everyone at no cost, thanks to an AgWorks grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry. To help track grant reach and eligibility, participants will be asked questions about their farm or agribusiness during registration. Responses will remain confidential and will not be shared outside the project team.
As part of the AgWorks grant initiative, no-cost training and consultation services are available to qualifying small- to medium-sized farms and agribusinesses in Pennsylvania. For more information, visit AgWorks.
This event is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry through funding from the U.S. Department of Labor.
