Frontiers in Forest Health: White Pine Needle Disease
October 2 @ 8:00 am - 9:30 am
ABOUT THE LIVE WEBINAR
Eastern white pine (Pinus strobus) is a cornerstone species of forests east of the Mississippi River, known for its abundance and ecological importance. However, in recent years, many have noticed an increase in yellowing needles and premature needle drop, signaling a troubling condition known as “white pine needle damage.” This disease complex threatens the future health of our white pine forests. Join forest health experts from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources in an engaging webinar where they’ll discuss the causes of this damage and explore the management strategies available to protect the future of these iconic trees.
