ABOUT THE IN-PERSON WORKSHOP

Penn State Extension presents Herds and Her: Empowering Women in Dairy, a hands-on workshop designed to equip women in dairy with practical skills and knowledge to enhance their farm operations. This immersive, boot camp-style event offers interactive sessions on key topics such as on-farm culturing to improve milk quality, calculating breakeven costs, and conducting serum total protein analysis to assess passive immunity transfer in calves. Participants will also engage in hands-on activities, including farm safety, as well as learning to identify and prevent lameness for improved herd health.
