IN-PERSON WORKSHOP Beginning Farmer Intensive: Land, Law, and Transition

If you are considering starting a farm business or have been farming for ten years or less, this beginning farmer overnight retreat workshop is for you. Take a break from the concerns of your current occupation or farm business, and gain knowledge on acquiring land and expertise from retiring farmers to start or sustain a profitable farm business.
EVENT DETAILS
Join our overnight retreat for novice farmers, where our experts will conduct two days of presentations, sharing valuable tips on locating and acquiring farmland.
Dinner will not be included on Friday, March 8, 2024. Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack will be provided on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

You will learn how to locate farmland, the legal and business expertise needed to transfer land and farm assets efficiently, the different types of business structures and what might work best for your situation, and how to prepare for your own retirement while simultaneously starting or continuing an existing farm business.

Includes lodging for Friday evening (up to 2 per farm) plus breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack on Saturday.
