2026 BSBA Introduction to Beekeeping Class
Have you ever wondered what it takes to keep bees?
Whether you’re curious about honey production, pollination, or just want to connect with nature, this is the perfect class to start with.
Come join us at the Berks County Agricultural Center for an exciting opportunity to learn about honeybees.
During our 8 hour Introduction to Beekeeping class on 2/21/25, our experienced instructors will take you through:
* Lifecycle and Biology of Honeybees
* Beekeeping Equipment & Supplies
* How to obtain FREE Bees
* Installation of Honeybees into a Hive
* Treatment Options
* Hive Inspections
* Honey & Hive Products
* Handling Honeybees
* BSBA Club Information
The $100 fee includes classroom instruction, a 1 year BSBA club membership, light refreshments and lunch, Beekeeping Basics book ($25 value), a club T-shirt, and handouts to get you started.
