Meet Rashid Poulson, a Brooklyn Native and Director of Horticulture at Brooklyn Bridge Park (BBP)!
Rashid began working at Brooklyn Bridge Park in 2012 and worked his way up from being a gardener to becoming the Director of Horticulture in 2022. He’ll tell us how his team works together to create a beautiful park where people can enjoy nature and find community within the big city.

Rashid will also dive into the park’s gardens use sustainable gardening practices, such as incorporating native plants, which makes it a great home for local wildlife. Ultimately, you’ll leave this talk with some great gardening tips and an understanding of how his team’s unique approach to urban horticulture makes Brooklyn Bridge Park special.
