ABOUT THE LIVE WEBINAR
John Boney, faculty member in Penn State’s Department of Animal Science, will guide participants through key considerations for planning red meat and poultry harvest activities on their property. Discussion topics will include navigating Federal, State, and Local regulations; applying good manufacturing practices and food safety principles; addressing animal handling and welfare concerns; selecting effective stunning techniques; and following sanitary dressing procedures. The session will conclude with an interactive question and answer segment, offering participants the chance to explore specific scenarios and deepen their understanding.
