Native Plant Cultivars and Pollinators – Webinar
June 14 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm$10
The Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards of Chester/Delaware County and Master Gardeners of Chester County will host researcher, Annie White, to discuss pollinators and native plant cultivars. Many people are incorporating native plants into gardens and community areas to provide our pollinators with needed food and habitat. Garden centers frequently carry native plant cultivars. These nativars are bred for traits that people desire but may create unintended challenges for pollinators.
This informative webinar guides you into native cultivar planting and attracting pollinators to your garden!
June 14, 2023
(7 p.m. – 8 p.m. ET)
Do native plant cultivars provide the same benefits as the straight species? Annie White was one of the first researchers to investigate this question by evaluating cultivars on their ecological value. Her field research and experiential learning make Annie one of the foremost resources on this critical question as we make decisions for our own gardens and community spaces.
