In this final installment of our series on socially raised calves, Dr. Hayley Springer will explore the factors associated with feeding acidified milk. This includes ways to effectively acidify milk, the pros and cons of this type of feeding system, and some other key points for acidifying milk. Group feeding calves in any system also presents significant biosecurity risks. Dr. Springer will share management practices to help prevent the introduction and spread of disease among group-housed calves.
