Pennsylvania ranks among the top five states in the nation for flood-related disaster declarations since 2000, yet many of its communities continue to face challenges with stormwater management. Green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) offers a promising solution by reducing runoff and improving water quality, but its adoption is uneven—particularly in small- to medium-sized communities. This webinar will explore findings from a statewide project examining the factors that support or hinder GSI implementation, with a focus on the role local ordinances play. We’ll begin with an introduction to GSI and relevant policy tools, then share insights from our ordinance analysis and conclude with discussion and opportunities for feedback.
