Thanks to the region’s varied landscape and wide range of fall farm activities, there’s plenty to do and events to attend to celebrate both new harvests and the changing seasons. Explore the Wilcox Farms Corn Maze
Pennsylvania boasts quite a few great corn mazes, but few offer as much space for immersive excitement in Berks Country as Wilcox Farms. For example, there’s a very impressive eight miles of trails through the 25 acres of land dedicated to the multiple corn mazes at the farm.
Beyond even the details that may qualify it as the largest corn maze in Pennsylvania, the Wilcox Farms Corn Maze offers many other great fall activities happening on site too. For 2022, the new annual Farmers Market Festival is debuting this fall on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2022 with plenty of food trucks, family-friendly entertainment, and memorable community experiences. What’s more, there are multiple events every week to celebrate fall harvests and usher in the spooky season.
Join the 8th Annual Pumpkin Palooza
Enjoy the crisp fall air and get your pumpkin fix at Pumpkin Palooza 2022! Taking place from 12pm – 3 p.m. at GoogleWorks Center for the Arts in Reading, there are all kinds of family-friendly events to bring in the new season. For instance, attendees can enjoy festivities and benefits like create-your-own hot glass pumpkin sessions, a handmade pumpkin hunt, caricature artists, cider tastings, gourd slingshot, live music, food trucks, and available beer and wine for purchase. Even better, admission is free! Afterward will be a capstone performance ‘Put On: A Fashion Show’ by returning artist Maria de Los Angeles and students from her workshop ‘Identity Garments’.
Enjoy Weaver’s Orchard
Weaver’s Orchard in Morgantown is a great destination to discover a wide range of autumnal activities that the whole family can enjoy. Every Saturday through October 30th, Weaver’s Orchard runs their Fall Family Fun Days, with no base admission fee and plenty of fun things to do including hayrides, pony rides, a barrel train, face painting, play areas, and live entertainment. They also boast an impressive selection of pick-your-own produce, not limited to just seasonal delights like pumpkins and apples (though they have those too). Their fields are open for pick-your-own Mondays through Saturdays.
